Today'sBigLie

The Liar: Sarah Palin. Now that she's left the gubernatorial seat in Alaska, Sarah Palin has begun using her Facebook page to launch her first foray into the 2012 presidential race with a salvo at Obama's health care plan that rivals Limbaugh's Swastika strategy.

Palin: Playing the Dead Baby Card.

But Palin's critique is far more likely to strike a deeply emotional chord with the Christian Right. Her charge: Obama's "Death Panel" would, ahem, have terminated the life of Trig Palin, her Down Syndrome baby:

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but...it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Dear American friends. As a citizen of both Britain and Canada I can assure you that the disinformation put out by the Republican right wing concerning our national health services is absolute rubbish. The vast majority of the citizens of Canada and the UK overwhelmingly support their current healthcare systems and look with horror on the US system as it is today. Actually, you can say that about how almost any country anywhere in the world views the US healthcare system. Just a small effort to be helpful. Cheers, James

The above comment was made by a member of the Canadian government. It's actually a eugenics plot.
